Organizational Change

Strategies for Change creates deep and inspired systemic change in organizations and communities using an organic, participatory process.

We work with NGOs, public and private sector organizations, unions, foundations, advocacy and public interest groups. We customize our approach to include a range of systemic, programmatic, and cultural interventions for groups and organizations that seek deep and engaged change, inclusive leadership, and person-centered operating systems.

Strategies for Change offers the following comprehensive or stand-alone Organizational Change services:

Organizational Transformation: Create new and innovative systems that reshape the way your organization operates through a participatory, multi-stakeholder approach in order to re-vision, design, and plan large-scale organizational change.

Customized Programs, Team Development & Training for Leading Change: As an organization changes so do the ways work or services are carried out. We engage multi-disciplinary teams to re-think and re-create while we provide the tools, new skills, and programs to lead and implement their change. We also provide workshops and coaching for formal and informal leaders. For more information see Personal Change.

Deep Culture Change: Large scale events, programs, community meetings, and creative rituals are used to introduce, inspire and celebrate change. Creative and healing arts can also be used to transform deep-rooted conflict and power dynamics. For more information see Personal Change

Some examples of our organizational work:

  • As part of a nationwide initiative, transformed traditional patient care model and piloted multiple person-centered care pilot programs that were adopted in major healthcare systems in NY and CA

  • Established labor and management leadership councils in multiple health care systems that included joint governing bodies and project improvement committees that significantly improved patient & staff satisfaction, worker participation and hospital revenue

  • Re-designed new life sustaining drug research process for MDS Pharma Services in Paris with staff from around the world that decreased the number of days from proposal to start date by 21 days

  • Created and implemented a non-traditional community-based outreach model for youth living on the streets in Seattle that provided services on their turf and inspired them to exit street life with support and dignity
