Resolving Conflict. Redesigning Systems. Helping Organizations & Communities Evolve.

We can help.

Strategies for Change is uniquely equipped to partner with your group to build alternative ways of governing, delivering services, and transforming organizations and communities where we live.

Together we can start to build a new social and economic paradigm. While doing so, we seek to heal and transform the thinking and practices that have led us here.

We work with you to redesign systems, resolve conflict, and develop collaborative ways of working to meet the challenges of this moment and help shape a more just and humane future

What We Do

WHAT WE DO

What We Do

For nearly three decades, Strategies for Change has worked with organizations, institutions, and communities to redesign systems, resolve complex challenges, and develop more collaborative ways of working.

This work brings together those most connected to the issues, those most impacted, those responsible for implementation, and those in leadership to address challenges at their root and move forward in more effective and creative ways.

System Redesign & Labs for Change

We create structured, participatory environments where stakeholders come together to rethink and redesign systems, services, and processes —and implement solutions in real time.

Participants are not simply contributing ideas—they are actively engaged in shaping and leading the work.

Conflict & Issue Transformation

We guide structured processes that transform conflict from a barrier into a source of insight and forward movement.

Groups are supported to surface underlying concerns, build shared understanding, and develop practical agreements—leading to clearer decisions and stronger alignment.

Participatory Governance & Leadership

We help develop collaborative leadership and governance models that support meaningful participation and effective decision-making.

This includes shared structures, clear roles, and leadership that is developed through the work itself.  Leadership is not treated as a role held by a few—but as a capacity that can be developed across the organization

Services

Transforming systems, relationships, and leadership—so meaningful, lasting change can take hold.  Our work focuses on three core areas that support organizations and communities in addressing complex challenges and creating sustainable change.

🔷 Labs for Change – From Re-Design to Implementation!

When systems, services, or processes are no longer working, incremental fixes are not enough.

We create structured, participatory environments where stakeholders come together to rethink and redesign how work is done—and implement solutions in real time.

This work includes:

  • Mapping current systems and identifying root causes

  • Bringing together diverse stakeholders

  • Developing a shared vision

  • Designing and prioritizing solutions

  • Testing and implementing changes

Participants are not just consulted—they are actively engaged in shaping and leading the work.

What makes this different:

We do not stop at recommendations.

We work with you to implement and refine solutions, so they are practical, measurable, and sustainable.

🔷 Conflict & Issue Transformation

Conflict is often one of the greatest barriers to progress—and one of the greatest opportunities for change.

We guide structured processes that help groups move from tension and gridlock to clarity, understanding, and aligned action.

This work supports groups to:

  • Surface underlying concerns and interests

  • Build shared understanding

  • Reframe challenges

  • Develop practical agreements

Rather than avoiding conflict, we work with it directly—transforming it into a source of insight and forward movement.

🔷 Participatory Governance & Leadership

Organizations committed to collaboration and equity often find that their structures do not support it.

We help develop governance and leadership approaches that enable meaningful participation while maintaining clarity and effectiveness.

This includes:

  • Shared or co-governance models

  • Clear roles and decision-making processes

  • Alignment across leadership and stakeholders

  • Leadership development in real time

Leadership is not treated as a role held by a few—but as a capacity that can be developed across the organization.

How This Work Comes Together

System redesign, conflict transformation, and participatory leadership are deeply interconnected.

We work across all three to create change that is both practical and transformative.
